CUSTOM STAMPS
All of our custom stamps are made with the same process as our high quality art stamps. |
What does deeply etched, vulcanized mean? |
First, we make a engraved magnesium master plate from your artwork. The image is raised (etched) twice as deep as you'll find in ordinary art stamps or photopolymer custom stamps. |
Vulcanizing |
Your master plate is pressed it into a mold called a matrix. The red gum (natural) rubber is placed in the matrix and molded under high heat an pressure. This produces a 'deeply etched, vulcanized' rubber stamp that will make great impressions every time. |

How do I figure the cost of my stamp? |
All of our custom stamp prices are based on 6 square inches (width x height) about the size of a business card. We add $2.50 for each
square inch over 6. We offer free quotes and image evaluations to make sure your graphic will make a great stamp.
E-mail Susan Note: Custom stamps are priced on the square inch of the finished stamp. The size of your artwork does not affect the price. |

If I order two or more stamps at one time is there a discount? |

What resolution should I use to scan my photos? |
300 - 600 dpi is required to get your photos to make good rubber stamps. |
My drawing was made with a black ink pen on white paper, is this line art? |
Not exactly, black & white line art refers to a digital file format. We discount stamps created with digital images that are 600 dpi, .tif black & white one bit files. There may be a small fee to convert black & white drawings depending on their level of detail. |

PHOTO QUALITY AND EDITING

I have an old photo that has scratches and is faded, will you be able to make it into a stamp? |
Most likely yes. The graphics department is already working magic to produce the high level of detail in creating the line art necessary for quality rubber stamp images. |
Can you remove the background so that only the main subject becomes the stamp? |
Yes. This is almost always the case. Removing the background will usually give you more creative uses for your stamp. |
